Beacon’s Beach is located in North San Diego County, north of Del Mar, Solana Beach and Cardiff, south of Oceanside and Carlsbad, in Encinitas – or Leucadia as known to the locals far and near. It isn’t an overly territorial place.
Because Beacon’s is hard to find, and the winding path is a deterrent to many (especially those with kids) most of the beachgoers are native to the immediate area. You can see everything here – from surfer shorts to a revealing bikini.
